Carolyn Love

Carolyn completed her honours degree in Political Science and Philosophy at McGill University prior to attending law school at The University of Western Ontario. She practises in the areas of federal and provincial income tax litigation, tax and estate planning, wills, trusts, guardianships and passing of accounts. Carolyn is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada, the Canadian Bar Association (Taxation and Trusts & Estates Sections), the Canadian Tax Foundation and The Advocates’ Society. While working at a community legal clinic, she regularly represented youth in court. She is currently a partner at Love and Whalen Law Firm. 

Louise Smith

Louise Smith is a member of RBC’s family wealth management practice, working with Canada’s leading families in establishing the frameworks and practices to help sustain their family capital through multiple generations. This guidance can include such things as family governance, financial planning, estate planning, development programs for younger family members and succession planning within the family or family business. Prior to her current role, Louise was responsible for RBC’s strategic planning. Additionally, she led RBC’s succession planning and high potential leadership development programs. Earlier in her career, she held strategic planning and marketing positions, working with both institutional and personal clients. Louise has a B. Commerce from McGill University.
